Meet Lydia
Hello, I’m Lydia — a certified babywearing consultant based in Swanage, serving families across Purbeck and the surrounding area. I’ve supported many, many of caregivers to carry their little ones safely and comfortably.
My babywearing journey began with the birth of my first child in 2020. Then in 2022, I took over the only sling library in South Korea, rebuilding the community for expat parents that was lost during COVID restrictions, and helping families to discover wraps, ring slings, and structured carriers that fit their bodies and lifestyles, from the newborn stage through to childhood.
Now, I have relocated to Swanage, my husband’s hometown, and am eager to share my knowledge and experience with my new community.

Consultations
A consultation gives you tailored, hands‑on help to get a safe and comfortable fit in a carrier that your already own, to learn to carry in a new position, or to compare options and find a sling or carrier that works for your body, your baby, and your daily life. We’ll cover safety, comfortable positioning, and tips adjusting as your child grows.

Newborn Deal — simple, cosy beginnings
Newborn‑specific slings like stretchy wraps and the Close Caboo support curled, ergonomic positioning and gentle neck support during the fourth trimester. They are soft, adjustable to your body, and perfect for contact naps, soothing, and getting hands‑free around the house. But they are only used for a few months. And you have to learn how to use them while sleep deprived!
With our newborn deal, you can borrow a sling before your due date, practice before baby is born, schedule a video call fit check after you get baby home, and return the sling once you are ready to move on to more supportive sling or carrier options.

Browse & reserveChoose from a variety of different slings and carriers available to borrow. Try them with Lydia first, or hire directly and learn on your own.

Collect at a consultation, sling walk, party, or in person at Lydia’s home in Swanage.
Return to Lydia’s home in Swanage, at a sling library event, or by post.
Babywearing Parties
Gather friends or family for a warm, interactive session tailored to your group. Choose a theme — newborn slings, back carrying (6+ months), fit checks for everyone, or a sling‑library try‑on party.
Up to 90 minutes of educational entertainment tailored to your theme- £100 for groups of up to 10 caregivers
Travel charged at £0.45 per mile from Swanage

Sling Walks
Free, friendly meet‑ups for expectant parents, parents, and caregivers to get outside and move. Quick fit checks happen before we set off so everyone is safe and comfortable. If you don’t have an appropriate carrier or sling, message Lydia in advance to reserve a walk loan.
